So as some of you know we have a new kitten.. ( Because of the hundreds of posts repeating on my Instagram ) I found him from a breeder in Arizona. My mother was kind enough to drive down here and bring him to me and visit for the weekend.
He is a " Bambino" Because he is hairless and munchkin, Short little legs like a dachshund. Its a specific breed and hysterically called Bambino. Because I guess it means baby in Italian.
I could seriously ramble on forever about this cat, So I am going to make a separate blog post about him.
But here is some information on his breed.. A cool video by Animal Planet.
So while my mom visited, I was able to reconnect with some family. My mothers side, My grandmas side specifically. As you know, Originally from Arizona. But I actually have quite a bit of family scattered throughout California. Which I rarely see.. Not exactly sure why. I suppose life is just busy and we all live in our own world. But my goal is to change that. Another cliche as we know time goes by so fast. Accelerating only as we get older. I refuse to live with the regret not getting to know some family that are in the same state.
My mom's aunt. One of many, My grandmothers Sister. Gloria. They live in Ventura. Only an hour drive from me. So we spent the day. I brought Blake. We played on the beach, And ate some damn delicious chicken tacos. That I've still been craving since I ate 5 of them..
It was great getting some one on one time with some family. Usually when I see them there are 20 other family members around and its a bit overwhelming. Naturally I am ridiculously awkward and insecure. But defiantly thankful for the time. Especially because my grandmother passed away just over a month before I was born. So my mothers Aunts is the closest I'll ever have to my grandmother. She is very sweet and warm and has a great sense of humor.
It was a very nice visit, Blake was very upset when my mom left. I sometimes wish we lived closer..
